Sports

The college has implemented a policy to concentrate on the sports of the soil viz. Kabaddi, Kho-kho, and Volleyball. The College since last three years reduced its expenditure on highly expensive sports like Cricket and has diverted that money consciously towards other sports. The policy yielded good result. The Volleyball team( Women) of the college is at a leading position in Inter-collegiate competitions organized by Shivaji University, Kolhapur. A number of girl students are also selected for National Level Volleyball Tournaments.

The following incentives are provided to the outstanding sports persons

  1. For athletics and Volleyball the College has hired the services of professional coaches.
  2. Sports uniform and full kit required for a particular game is provided to all the sportspersons.
  3. College provides nutritive foods (Khurak) to the sports persons during their practice period to keep them fit.
  4. The traveling and dearness allowances are provided to the sportspersons for their participation in inter-collegiate and Inter-University competitions.
  5. The college also helps to needy sportspersons by providing financial and other assistance
  6. These students are also provided with book bank facility of the college library. The academic faculty also give them additional coaching & guidance whenever necessary.
  7. The college holds prize distribution ceremony at the end of every academic year in which the outstanding sportspersons are felicitated.
