NCC
The motto of NCC is ‘Unity and Discipline’ which was adopted on 23 Dec.1957.
Aims Of NCC
i) To develop qualities of character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and selfless services among the youth to make them useful citizens.
ii) To create a human-resource of organized, trained and motivated youth, to provide leadership in all walks of life, including the Armed Forces and be always available for the service of the national.
Induction
Induction into NCC is on voluntary basis and students both boys/girls can join at the age of 13 years in Junior Division (Class-VIII to IX) and Senior Division from class XI onwards.
Admission Process in NCC
The NCC cadet is selected from Std. XIth (Arts/Com. /Science.) and F. Y. (Arts/Com.)
Minimum height required: - 5’5"
Minimum percentage: - 55
About The College Unit
A Company of 50 cadets affiliated to 5 Maharashtra Battalion has been raised in the college in 1993-94. It is identifying as 'C-2 Coy'. The students from XI Arts/Commerce/Science can be enrolled to NCC. The training period runs for 3 years. The cadets can be given the ranks of U/O, SGT, CPL, L/CPL and Cadet. The cadets are promoted to higher ranks according to their overall performance in words of command, leadership, attendance, participation in cultural programmes and social services etc.
Initially Lt. A.H. Pharne worked as the ANO from October 1994 to May 2001. Since then, Mr.M.A.Shinge has been working as the Care Taker Officer.
