Activities -

The Department conduct various activities through out the year through Geography Association.

Objectives of Asscociation

1. To understand importance of environment
2. To organize the educational tours (to visit the known and unknown places)
3. To develop the awareness about the pollution
4. To celebrate “Geographical Day”
5. To organize guest lectures discussion, slide show, map exhibition to enrich geographical knowledge.

Activities during Year 2011-12

1. One day Trekking at Gaganbawada- Karur Ghaat was organized for students of Geography as a study tour on 18^th Aug. 2011.
2. Observance of ‘International Ozone Day’ on 16^th Sept. 2011.
3. Annual study tour of students of B.A.III (Special Geography) was organized to few palace of South India like Bangalore, Mysore, Uti, Aranakulam, Kanyakumri on 15^th to 23^rd Nov. 2011.
4. Four students of Dept. of Geography was participated in workshop on ‘Global Warming’ organized by Smt. A.R. Patil Kanya Mahavidyalalya, Ichalkaranji on 21^st Sept. 2011.
5. Two Projects was undertakne by B.A.III Geography students. Namely-

• Sex Ratio in Kaneriwadi Village
• Kanerimath – Religious Tourism Centre
